Rendang, Special Food of West Sumatra
Rendang is a typical food of West Sumatra, the main ingredient is coconut milk and beef rendang. Rendang is very tasty and well-known as typical food from Indonesia. In addition to beef rendang also uses coconut, and mix of various Indonesian special spices including chili, galangal, lemongrass, onions and various other spices.Rendang has a respectable position in the culture of the Minangkabau. Recipe makes rendang
Meat Rendang Recipe Ingredients:
- has 500 grams of beef, cut into pieces
- 1000 ml thick coconut milk
- 1000 ml liquid coconut milk (thick coconut milk 3 eggs and liquid from coconuts)
- 2 stalks lemongrass, crushed
- lime leaves 5 ??pieces
- 1 sheet turmeric leaf, torn
- 2 pieces of acid
Subtle Seasonings Meat Rendang recipe:
- 250 grams of red chilli
- 4 cloves garlic
- 10 grains of red onion
- 1 cm ginger
- 2 cm turmeric
- 4 cm galangal
- salt to taste
How to Make Meat Rendang:
- Boil the liquid coconut milk, lemongrass, lime leaves, turmeric, tamarind, spices cooked until boiling. Insert meat already cut into pieces, and cook again until thick coconut milk.
- Enter the thick coconut milk. Cook until almost dry. Stir until brown and oily rendang.
- Serve.
