The film was taken from the true story of surfer Bethany Hamilton. Life for Bethany Hamilton is literally across the waves. Born and raised in a family surfer, Bethany had swallowed the salty sea water and wind since childhood. Since the early dreams of becoming a true surfer, Bethany collect achievements, won the championship since the age of 9 years.

But one day when he was 13 years, exposure to waves flung and almost took his life: he was attacked by a shark who chews out his left hand. Immediately rushed to the hospital in a state of blood loss by 60% of his body, Bethany was rescued.

Now living with one arm, Bethany save trauma to the ocean . But in the spirit in his heart, he tried to conquer his fear, and back to sea.
